Q: Do I need a shaving brush?
A: For best results a shaving brush is highly recommended for use with our shaving soaps.
Q: What kind of razor works with shaving soap?
A: Our shaving soaps work with any kind of razor. The key to a more comfortable shave is the cushion and glide provided by a quality shaving soap.
Q: Do I need a shaving bowl or mug?
A: That is strictly optional. Building a lather in a bowl, mug or directly on the face (or anywhere else) is a matter of personal preference.
Q: Is shaving soap safe to use in the pubic region?
A: Yes. If it feels good on your face, you can use it anywhere else on your body.
Q: How do I lather shaving soap?
A: We created a page dedicated to just this topic, How To Lather
Q: Are your products tested on animals?
A: No, we do not test with animals. Every batch of soap is tested for quality and performance by the company owner, Richard Creger. If a product does not pass our internal Quality Assurance Testing it is not offered for sale.
Q: How long will a container last?
A: Soap consumption varies from person to person. Our admittedly un-scientific heavy load testing indicates that approximately one half of an ounce is consumed every week when used daily. That equates to a minimum of 70 shaves or 10 weeks from a 5 ounce container of soap.
