I load my brush from the tub for a 60 count. I'd rather start with too much soap than not enough. This creates a creamy, slick lather. The scent is mild with a slight cherry tobacco note. Despite its name, I can see me using this throughout the cool/cold weather, not just for the Christmas season. After all Santa's workshop has to work all year to make enough toys for the kids around the whole world.

I heard great things abut this shaving soap, and thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad that I did! The scent of this shave soap smells amazing! It's like sitting by a warm fireplace, smoking a pipe with sweet tobacco that is nuanced with nutmeg. It is a great subtle, and yet strong scent that smells great after a shave. The soap, when applied to the shaving brush while dry will enable the 5oz pan to last about a year. No kidding!... The lather of this soap is perfect in the sense that it offers just the right lubrication without being too heavy when being applied. The lather is light, and rinses off well leave your skin feeling clean, smooth, and refreshed. Just what you'd love in a shave! The Santa's Workshop is destined to become a sought after classic for the holidays~

I'm a woman and I shave about once every week and I've been using my C&F all year!
I was using Fair Isle Harbor and noticed I would run out before the holidays. I was excited to try the Santa's Workshop and it did not disappoint! The scent is perfect!

No comment on the full size as it is a Christmas gift that I have not given yet but after hearing Dilley brag I ordered the sample size to try out myself and yes I am a lady!! The sample size is more than a sample as samples are like hotel soap and so on and are one-use size. This sample size will last much longer than that! I used a new makeup soft brush and followed the directions to apply as the attractive container has a small opening and it worked great to slather your legs and so on!! Anyway, tell the ladies it is gentle on your skin, but also exceptionally efficient!! The scent lingers and is quite unisex … not flowery and not spicy... just a gentle pleasing scent. Best shave I’ve had in a long time. After using cream in a can and my latest glycerin base pucks, this was such a relief! Tons of lather with minimal effort. The soap has a light scent to it as a base, the shave cream adds another layer and the balm finishes it off perfectly, enough so my wife said I smelled like a fresh batch of gingerbread cookies!!!! I bought the kit (soap and balm) as an early birthday present to myself. It was the first artisan soap I had purchased and I am thrilled. The lather of the soap is thick and thirsty, but gave a great shave. The aftershave balm has a bit of a bite to it, but goes on smooth and feels great. the scent of the soap has a bit more cherry to it and the scent is more muted. The balm's scent is strong and long lasting, having a bit more tobacco in the scent. I love it and will wear it through the Holidays.

Sweet Suprise!
This scent was not necessarily what I expected, but I have been pleasantly surprised how much it has grown on me and how it’s name really does capture it’s scent.
I start with the scent because it functions great (lather, Cushion, and glide) like all CF soaps!
All this and Richard’s service is the best in the business- I think I might dub this guy “The Santa of Shaving”!
If your on the fense- I would recommend going for it.

Lathered up the Santa's Workshop soap today, my first use of a Cooper & French Soap. It is an excellent soap base, lathered up a creamy lather with a badger brush, very slick and cushiony, left a great post shave feel on my face. The scent was o.k. hoping for a stronger scent, but overall a soap I would recommend to everyone.

The soap smells absolutely wonderful. Pictured is all the gear I need, because the soap always leaves me with a great face feel, and not to mention smelling like a masculine Turkish Delight.
